Born in Africa.
Built to connect it.
YeloJet is building a more connected marketplace for African business aviation—helping private-jet operators make productive use of empty repositioning flights while giving passengers a clearer way to discover and request them.
A practical idea for an overlooked opportunity.
YeloJet began with a simple observation: private aircraft frequently reposition between cities without passengers, while business travellers across Nigeria and Africa need faster, more flexible connections.
The platform was conceived in 2026 to bring those two needs together. What started as an empty-leg discovery concept has grown into a broader operating marketplace—designed around African routes, local currencies, worldwide airports, operator controls, passenger communication, and accountable trip completion.
Our name reflects that ambition: a bright horizon for African aviation, with Africa at the centre and the world within reach.
To become the trusted digital bridge for African business aviation—connecting people, aircraft, operators, and opportunities across the continent and from Africa to the world.
We envision a market where available aircraft capacity is easier to discover, operators can reach more passengers responsibly, and African cities become better connected through transparent, technology-enabled private aviation.
One platform.
A more useful flight.
YeloJet provides the digital infrastructure through which passengers can discover empty-leg opportunities and operators can publish, manage, communicate, and prepare those flights for booking.
Discover empty legs
Search routes through a worldwide airport directory, view nearby opportunities, and compare timing, aircraft, capacity, and indicative pricing.
Equip operators
Publish repositioning flights, manage availability, connect aircraft tracking references, prepare passenger alerts, and control verified settlement details.
Support the journey
Bring booking acknowledgements, document checks, crew manifests, trip-status evidence, refund workflows, and payout authorization into one auditable process.
Connect Africa outward
Build around the realities of Nigerian and African aviation while supporting routes, airports, passengers, operators, and payment channels worldwide.
Clear by design.
Operational and boarding decisions remain with certified operators, aircraft commanders, airports, and competent authorities.
Important prices, policies, acknowledgements, and workflow states should be visible before a passenger or operator commits.
Local market knowledge, currencies, airports, and operating realities are core product inputs—not afterthoughts.
Identity, manifest, payment, and location information should be collected only when needed, protected, and retained for defined purposes.
Building the marketplace responsibly.
YeloJet is in active product development. Live payments, aircraft data, outbound messaging, authority transmission, and regulated operational services become available only as the relevant providers, operator relationships, security controls, and legal requirements are completed.

Ten minutes.
Strictly managed.
Private aircraft operate to tightly controlled slots, permits, crew-duty limits, and onward schedules. Passengers must arrive early enough to complete security, document, baggage, and crew checks before the operator-confirmed departure time.
Respect the aircraft.
Respect the crew.
Safety decisions belong to the aircraft commander, operator, airport security, and competent public authorities. YeloJet’s role is to disclose the rules, record acknowledgements, and preserve the incident trail.
Appropriate dress
Passengers must wear safe, clean, non-offensive clothing and footwear suitable for the terminal and aircraft. The policy is applied without discrimination and with reasonable accommodation for religious, cultural, medical, and disability needs.
Intoxication
A passenger who appears impaired by alcohol or drugs to the extent that safety, security, judgment, or compliance may be affected can be refused boarding by the operator or aircraft commander.
Disruptive conduct
Threats, abuse, violence, harassment, interference with crew, refusal of lawful safety or security instructions, and damage to property are prohibited. The crew may stop boarding, remove the passenger, or divert when required for safety.
AVSEC and police referral
Airport Aviation Security may de-escalate, restrain, remove, or document an incident within its lawful authority. Serious or suspected criminal conduct may be reported to the Nigeria Police Force and prosecuted before a competent Nigerian court.
When boarding or carriage is refused because of the passenger’s verified intoxication or misconduct, amounts paid may be retained up to the full booking value where the contract and Nigerian law permit. The decision requires an operator/crew incident record and review; it is not applied for operator cancellation, discriminatory refusal, or any circumstance carrying a mandatory refund.
Verified quickly.
Refunded fairly.
If the private-jet operator cancels the booked flight and the passenger chooses reimbursement, YeloJet starts a six-hour verification window and then automatically initiates a full refund to the original payment method.
Refund policy
- Operator cancellation only. This automated route applies when the operating private-jet operator cancels the flight. Passenger-initiated cancellation follows the separately disclosed booking terms and applicable law.
- Passenger choice comes first. The passenger may choose reimbursement or any re-routing option required or offered under applicable law. A voucher is never substituted without the passenger’s agreement.
- Six-hour verification window. The window begins when YeloJet records the operator’s cancellation. It is an operational fraud and status check—not a waiver or extension of any faster statutory entitlement.
- Three-way corroboration.YeloJet compares consented passenger airport-location evidence, aircraft ADS-B/ADS-C status, and the crew’s acknowledgement that the passenger was not onboard.
- Tracking exceptions do not defeat a refund.Missing GPS consent, unavailable location data, or an interrupted ADS-B feed triggers manual review using operator and crew records; it does not automatically deny an otherwise valid refund.
- Full fare returned. The unused booking amount, including mandatory charges collected for the cancelled service, is returned through the original payment method without a YeloJet cancellation deduction. Any legally due cancellation compensation is assessed separately.
This policy does not limit rights under applicable Nigerian law. Nig.CARs 2023 Part 19 provides cancellation remedies, reimbursement or re-routing choices, disclosure duties, and—where applicable—additional compensation. FCCPA protections for unfulfilled advance bookings also remain available.
Demonstration only. Production refunds require licensed payment-provider credentials, verified operator events, and an auditable exception-review process.

How YeloJet processes data
Before you fly.
Clear answers for passengers, operators, and operating crew using YeloJet across Nigeria and Africa.
Still need help? Email info@yelojet.com →What is an empty-leg flight?+
An empty leg is a private aircraft repositioning flight that would otherwise operate without passengers. Because its route and departure window are already set, it may be offered below a standard charter price.
Can an empty-leg departure time or route change?+
Yes. Empty legs depend on the aircraft’s primary charter and operational requirements. YeloJet prepares email, SMS, and WhatsApp alerts for operator-confirmed schedule changes or cancellations.
How does YeloJet pricing work?+
Prices consider aircraft class, distance, fuel and currency conditions, demand, repositioning value, airport access, permits, handling, and Nigerian or African market factors. Operators can review and adjust the recommendation.
What documents do passengers need?+
Every passenger is responsible for a valid passport or accepted identification, destination and transit visas, permits, health certificates, and any other route-specific documents. Boarding and entry remain subject to the operator and relevant authorities.
Are meals or drinks included on an empty leg?+
No. The empty-leg price does not include meals, snacks, alcohol, water, soft drinks, or other beverages. Food and beverage service is entirely at the private-jet operator’s discretion. Passengers should request and confirm any catering, restrictions, availability, and additional charges with the operator before departure.
Can a passenger be refused boarding for intoxication or misconduct?+
Yes. The operator or aircraft commander may refuse or end carriage when a passenger appears intoxicated, unsafe, threatening, abusive, disruptive, or unwilling to follow lawful crew or security instructions. Verified passenger-caused refusal may result in forfeiture of up to the full fare where lawful. Serious incidents may be referred to AVSEC and the Nigeria Police Force for investigation.
How are passenger documents checked before departure?+
The operating crew separately confirms that each passenger is onboard and that their identification, travel documents, and required visas were physically sighted. The manifest cannot be generated until every required check is acknowledged.
How does payment and operator settlement work?+
The current portal demonstrates a protected settlement flow: YeloJet records a 20% platform commission and the operator’s 80% balance becomes eligible for release three days after verified arrival, subject to the booking terms and any dispute.
How does live location tracking work?+
With the passenger’s explicit consent, trip-only location monitoring can support airport-to-airport progress and arrival verification. Consent can be withdrawn, and monitoring is designed to stop after the verification window.
How do operators list an empty leg?+
Operators enter the route, schedule, aircraft, registration, seats, price, alert channels, and ADS-B or ADS-C identifier in the operator portal. Live tracking and outbound messaging require approved provider credentials.
What happens if a flight is cancelled?+
The operator starts the cancellation workflow, passengers receive configured operational alerts, and the booking enters refund review under the accepted cancellation and settlement terms.
How does YeloJet protect personal data?+
YeloJet provides purpose-limited processing, opt-in trip location, restricted manifest access, consent records, and a privacy request portal supporting access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and complaints.
